Groups & Activities

Worship is at the heart of our life at St Stephen’s but we take every opportunity to build friendships and learning across age ranges. Whether it’s fellowship, education or voluntary service you are looking for there is something for you in our groups.

Youth Alive

Youth Alive for young people from 11 upwards, meets on Sunday mornings at 10am in the Youth Alive room. They enjoy drama and discussing topical issues such as bullying, greed, the environment.

Sunday School

Our Sunday school runs from September to July. It meets in the church hall at 10am during the main service. Children from 4 – 11 learn about the Christian faith through stories, games and other activities.

Friendship & Fellowship

The Friendship and Fellowship group meets on the second Saturday of the month at 10.30am -12.30pm in the church hall. Our aim is to develop a firm friendship, offer the gift of time, encourage positive attitudes and banish loneliness. The group is inclusive.  One does not have to be a church goer or a member of our church.
At the meeting we start with a prayer or a short bible reading.  We have tea, coffee, biscuits and usually a quiz ending with a gentle chair exercises.

Serving team

We have a large, well-trained and committed team of servers with an age range from 7 to 70+. Serving at services is a great honour and pleasure. Our team is open to boys, girls, women and men.
